Origins
Veterans and outcasts of the South Florida music scene and sound, the People's Love Cult was established between Gravy Horse band memebers Jack Gibson and Mr. Pope while the two were living in seperate parts of the world. The idea was pieced together as a part of a sound collage Gibson was working on, as well as a religion Pope was in the process of forming.
MR. POPE
Meanwhile, in the year 1972, a Cult leader who sang blues and gospel-inspired folk songs wished to unite a dying generation. He recieved a horrific vision of an apocolyspe and feared he would be the only survivor left to face the end. Immediately after he was banished from San Francisco, he fell into a time warp and unknowingly landed in our Modern Times. He has since started the first band that is also a religion.
